CONSTRUCTION OF CHICKEN PROCESSING PLANT AND DRY RENDERING PLANT AT KOTTUKAL, KOLLAM PHASE I - Composite Work, CONSTRUCTION OF CHICKEN PROCESSING PLANT AND DRY RENDERING PLANT AT KOTTUKAL, KOLLAM – PHASE I - Composite Work, CIVIL Planning, Designing and Construction of the civil works for a combined Chicken Processing and Chicken Dry Rendering Unit encompass comprehensive infrastructure designed for efficiency, hygiene, and compliance with food safety and environmental standards. The scope begins with site clearing, grading, and excavation, followed by the construction of reinforced concrete foundations, columns, beams, and slabs for structural stability. Walls are constructed using masonry blocks with internal and external plastering, while insulated roofing with steel trusses ensures thermal efficiency and protection. Providing PEB structure with PUF panels for roof covering and wall cladding for Chicken processing area. Antibacterial, Mandana/Kadappa stone flooring is applied throughout processing zones, and the facility includes internal partitions, toilets, handwashing stations, and staff changing rooms, all built to meet HACCP and food-grade construction norms. Stainless steel drainage systems, proper floor slopes, and foundation works for cold rooms and machinery (such as cookers and crushers in the rendering unit) are provided. The rendering section also includes heat- and acid-resistant industrial flooring and also provided windows and ventilator arrangements. For complete site development, the yard is levelled and compacted. 6 bore wells are installed with appropriate casing and pump infrastructure to ensure a dedicated and reliable water source for both processing and cleaning operations. Hard parking area using 100mm concrete interlock block with 15mm GSB is provided. These civil provisions collectively ensure the plant is structurally sound, hygienically maintained, operationally efficient, and well-equipped for long- term sustainability. (a) Planning, Designing and Construction of the buildings including Preparation of Preliminary Architectural & Detailed Working Drawings, Structural Analysis & Design, Planning, Designing & Execution of all related Services including Internal Water Supply & Sanitary Installations, Civil external Service Connections and integrating all internal & external services pertaining to Civil with External Development works & making the facilities functional all complete as per directions of Engineer-in-Charge. The work shall be executed complete as per scope, specifications, conditions and other details stipulated in NIT/Tender document and as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. (b) Planning, Designing and Construction of Development Works & Bulk Services of above proposed building for Civil works including preparation of preliminary & detailed working /service drawings, structural drawings incorporating stipulated specifications and integrating all services with external development works & making the facilities functional all complete including various other development works such as internal road formation, water- supply system (external & internal), sewerage system, ETP, sufficient retaining walls, guard room, pump room, sump of required capacity, borewell etc. specifications, conditions and other details stipulated in NIT/Tender document and as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. (c ) Obtaining and submission of all necessary statutory approvals on completion of above proposed building work including statutory approvals on completion plans from all local authorities, obtaining fire clearance, completion certificate from all concerned local bodies or any other authorities, consent to operate, water connection from concerned state electricity authorities, fulfilment of IGBC/ CPWD Green Building Norms including preparation& submission of all 'As built drawings' (on completion of entire work including obtaining occupancy certificate/ completion certificate from the local bodies) as per scope of work, conditions and other details provided in NIT/Tender document and as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. Note- Defect liability period of 60 months is included in the scope of above proposed building work as stipulated in the NIT/Tender document and rates to be quoted accordingly. ELECTRICAL Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of all Electrical Installations and Fire Fighting and detection system as detailed in Chapter –D, obtain approval/NOC from the competent Authority to make all system in working condition as per direction from Engineer –in-Charge. Statutory approvals on completion plans from all local authorities, obtaining fire clearance, completion certificate from all concerned local bodies or any other authorities, consent to operate, electric connection.
